My Place Finsbury Park

My Place employs local young people (aged 13-18) to be trained as researchers, advocates and leaders for the diverse communities that they represent. It connects these young leaders with local Planning decision-makers and supports these new partnerships to co-create solutions to community issues, based around a new development or regeneration area. My Place’s method is innovative within place making and regeneration; young people accessing and advocating on behalf of the diverse voices of their wider community, not just other young people, is genuinely pioneering.

Joined the Advisory Board for My Place Finsbury Park, in 2021, with the aim of helping steer the direction of the platform as well as promoting the organisation’s work more broadly.

Theatrum Mundi

Theatrum Mundi is a centre for research and experimentation in the public culture of cities; based in London and Paris our work spans the UK, Europe and the Mediterranean. Our core mission is to expand the crafts of city-making through the arts – storytelling, performance, sound/music – and to diversify who has a voice in these processes. Our work brings together people with a range of backgrounds and perspectives on cities and culture: artists, activists, architects, urbanists, students, scholars, and community leaders as well as the broader public.

Joined the Advisory Board for Theatrum Mundi in 2020 to feed into discussions around organisation, its strategy and to support the team in helping increase the organisation’s impact and outreach. Occasionally feeding into conversations around future projects and acting as a sounding board for the organisation.

Design West

Formerly known as The Architecture Centre,  Design West is a centre of excellence for design & placemaking founded in 1996. Design West’s mission is to inspire the public, politicians & professionals across the built environment to design, better, healthier, places to live, work & relax. Learning from our heritage to build our future. A registered charity that puts design & social value at their heart.

Joined the Board of Trustees for Design West in 2020 to feed into discussions around organisation’s future, its strategy and to support the team in helping increase the organisation’s impact and outreach. More recently, I’ve taken on the development of the charity’s Shape My City programme, of which I am an alumni, as my main area of focus. Aiming to increase its impact and build a network for its alumni.
